Saturday 'Gourmet Guys & A Gal' in Potsdam to benefit Community Performance Series

POTSDAM -- Community Performance Series will serve up food and entertainment at their 11th Gourmet Guys & A Gal fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 5 p.m. in Thatcher Hall on the SUNY Potsdam campus.

Cocktails will be served at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m.

The Gourmet Gals & Guys dinner started in 2006, and continues to be the largest fundraiser in support of the CPS summer musical season. The eleventh anniversary will feature local volunteer chefs Amy Conger, the corporate executive chef for Potsdam Auxiliary and College Educational Services, John VanKennen, the PACES kitchen manager and Josh Taillon, executive chef at Jake’s on the Water.

"This year's chefs have again come together to design an incredible menu,” said CPS Executive Director Amy Flack. “The meal will be prepared and served by a number of faithful community volunteers, and our dedicated staff, equipment and facilities will be provided by PACES. Musical entertainment will include our local jazz favorites, A Finer Line. We are so grateful for the ongoing participation that we receive for this very special annual event,"

Tickets are $75 per person. The full menu is available at www.cpspotsdam.org. Reservations can be made by calling the CPS Box Office at 267-2277, or visiting in-person Monday through Friday, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Reservations must be made by Friday, Jan. 22.

Proceeds from the event will help fund CPS 2016 summer musical productions. This year's season includse performances of "Mary Poppins" and "Ring of Fire."
