MASSENA -- A May 16 5K will raise money for local ALS patients and research into the affliction, which is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The second “Sandy’s Steps to Edge Out ALS” is slated to start at noon at Robert Moses State Park, 19 Robinson Bay Road.
Prizes will be awarded for highest dollar amount individual sponsorships, fastest male finish time, fastest female finish time, fastest time for ages 7 and under and 8 to 13.
Registration starts at 11 a.m.
Cost is $20.
The event will also include a bake sale, Chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks for sale.
