POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Food Co-op's Second Thursday Sampling “Say Cheese Please Please!” will offer samples of Vermont Creamery's fresh goat cheese, as well as dinner side dishes from the Carriage House Bakery and Deli.
The event takes place on Thursday, Nov. 13 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at 24 Elm St.
The Vermont Creamery has been producing their fresh goat cheese, or chèvre, since 1984.
Chèvre is a simple, bright rindless cheese of smooth texture and mild flavor. It can be crumbled on vegetables or pizza, mixed into omelets and dips, or stuffed into chicken breast or roasted peppers.
Shoppers will be able to enjoy a taste of it in the holiday appetizer Chèvre with cranberries, walnuts, and honey.
