MASSENA – The Massena Masons and the Massena Police Department hold a safety ID event during the Massena Heritage Festival at the Massena Arena, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 2.
This is a free service provided by the local Masons to help protect children and other family members.
The Safety ID Program is open to the public and offered free of charge to all families in the county. No appointment is necessary. Participants will receive a free packet of individual information to assist law enforcement in the safe recovery of a lost or missing child, student, or adult. All ages are welcome. Permission slips for minor children must be signed by a parent or guardian.
The process includes digital fingerprinting, photos, and a short questionnaire. Participants receive a mini CD-ROM containing photos and fingerprints, a laminated photo ID card, a printout, and safety tips and materials. All information is given to the parents; only consent forms are retained.
Permission slips are available online at http://www.mastermason.com/stlawrencefreemason/forms.html, so you can download the form, fill it out and bring it with you to the event.
If you received an ID at a previous Masonic event, it can be updated at this event.
