RUSSELL – “The Not Too Far From Home Comedy Tour” will hit the stage at the Russell Theater, 4 Pestle St., on Saturday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. featuring veteran comedians from around the United States.

The event is produced by stand up comedian Aaron David Ward and includes a rotating roster of stand up comedians from upstate New York, New York City, Boston, and other parts of the Northeast.

“We call the tour the “Not Too Far From Home Comedy Tour” because we are not too far from our homes or your home. We bring professional stand up comedy performances to restaurants, banquet halls, lodges, hotels, country clubs, and theaters in your hometown,” said Ward.

All performing comedians either live in or have ties to upstate New York or other parts of the Northeast and have been performing professionally for years, according to Ward.

The show features comedian Dan Geurin, Deric Harrington and Ward who is the headliner for the show.

Geurin recently launched his comedy career at the age of 42 and already has racked up an impressive list of accomplishments including winning comedy contests and performing regularly at The Funny Bone Comedy Club in Syracuse, and The Comedy Works in Albany and throughout the region. Geurin will emcee the event. Info: www.twitter.com/DanGeurin.

Harrington launched his comedy career in 2002 in upstate New York before moving to the Chicago area and then returning to New York. Since beginning his career in stand up, he has performed throughout the Northeast and Midwest as well as at the World Famous Improv Comedy Clubs in Chicago and Tampa. Some of his jokes have been published in the “The Complete Idiot's Guide to Jokes,” By Larry Getlen and “Squeaky Clean Comedy,” “It's a Man's World,” and “The Comedy Thesaurus,” all By Judy Brown. He has performed throughout the Northeast and Midwest, appeared in the Boston Comedy Festival, Plymouth Rock Comedy Festival, Cape May Comedy Festival, The World Series of Comedy, and in several movies including “What I See In The Dark” and “Aftermath.” Info: www.aarondavidward.com.
