CANTON - Rushton and his canoes are the timely topic of the Second Saturday Children's Program Saturday, May 14 at 11 a.m.
This program is being held on the weekend of the 50th Annual Rushton Canoe Races in Canton and is another in the St. Lawrence County Historical Association's series of free monthly educational programs for kids age 4-10.
The program is held at the SLCHA, 3 E. Main St. Children will get the chance to make their own paper Rushton canoe, learn about Rushton and his boats, listen to a story, and view the new Rushton Exhibit Paddling to Perfection.
