POTSDAM -- SLC Arts in Old Snell Hall, Elm Street, will offer a rug braiding class with Helen Condon Sept. 16 and 17, from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
The class will cost members $159 and non-members $189.
Condon has taught rug braiding for more than 50 years. The first day the students will learn the beginning lacing and braiding of a round rug.
With the skills learned the first day, students will learn on the second day to make a basket with one or two handles and learn the finishing steps to their stool cover project.
Students will receive a kit with all the wool strips in their choice of colors along with the clamp, lacing needle, twine, and instructions.
Students are asked to call Condon at 315-265-4722, with the measurements of the stool they want to cover and their personal choice of colors.
Condon will make a kit for them.
Call 315-265-6860 to register for the class or for more information.
