ROSSIE -- The Town of Rossie will celebrate its bicentennial anniversary Aug. 12 at 12 noon at the town barn. Barbecue chicken and pork dinners will be available.
The hamlets of Rossie, Somerville, Spragueville and Wegatchie became the Town of Rossie on Jan. 27, 1813. A variety of events, games and activities will be offered.
The 1976 time capsule will be opened and 200th time capsule will be sealed.
