OGDENSBURG -- The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce will host their River Shiver Feb. 13 to 20 with the Polar Plunge, a battle re-enactment and a prime rib dinner.
Prime Rib Dinner
Amvets Post 19 will host a Valentine’s Day prime rib dinner and dance on Feb. 13.
Cocktails will be served at 5 p.m. with dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. and dancing from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m.
Triple Play will perform.
Reservations are required.
Tickets are $15 per person, $25 per couple and $7 for dancing only.
Tickets will be sold until Feb. 7.

Battle of Ogdensburg
Fort de la Présentation will host a Battle of Ogdensburg re-enactment on Feb. 20 in downtown Ogdensburg.
The original battle took place Feb. 22, 1813.
The National Guard Armory on Ford Street will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will include displays, exhibits, lectures and refreshments.
A lecture titled “Spies and Espionage Along the Northern Border” by John Austin will be at 11 a.m.
The battle will be at 1:30 p.m. downtown.
An English country dance winter ball will be at the Ogdensburg Amvets, Ford Street, at 7:30 p.m.
On Feb. 21, there will be a wreath-laying ceremony at Sheriff York’s grave at the Ogdensburg Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.
Another battle re-enactment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Van Rensselaer (Lighthouse) Point, retreating to the Marina District.
All events are free and open to the public.
