These artists address the impact of the St. Lawrence River upon the local culture and geography.
In this northern region of New York State, the St. Lawrence River divides two nations, yet unites them by facilitating trade, commerce, and communication.
It provides shelter and life to hundreds of species of animal and plant life, enabling growth, yet at the same time the river has been powerfully destructive.
Communities have thrived and played along its banks, and others still have been flooded and ruined by its waters.
