GOUVERNEUR -- The United Methodist Church is hosting a Ripathon, a day-long, fitness-themed fundraising event, Saturday, Sept. 9, starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Gouverneur Country Club.
The event features a 5k run, a 2-hour fitness “marathon,” a captain and crew golf tournament, buffet dinner, silent auction, put put contest, vendors, baked goods and refreshments. Prizes will be given.
The following events are scheduled:
8:30 a.m. -- Registration for 5k walk/run;
9 a.m. -- 5k starts on Weldon Road, start of auction;
9:30 a.m. -- Registration for fitness sessions;
10 a.m. -- yogalates with Ranisa;
10:30 a.m. -- Rumba with Nico1e;
11 a.m. -- Tabata with Powerhouse;
11:30 a.m. -- RiPit with Amber;
Noon -- Awards and drawings;
12:30 p.m. -- Golf registration begins;
1 p.m. – Capt’n crew golf tourney;
4-6 p.m. -- buffet dinner served;
6 p.m. -- silent auction ends.
