CANTON - "Femme Fatale," music by women, is the theme for a concert by the Rhythm & Roots ensemble Thursday, April 19, at 8 p.m. in St. Lawrence University’s The Underground in Noble Center room 001.
The event is free and open to the public.
While familiar songs from the past -- "I Met Him on a Sunday" by the Shirelles and Jefferson Airplane's "Somebody To Love" -- are included, the concert mostly features music by more contemporary artists such as Feist, Florence and the Machine and Ani DiFranco.
Most but not all of the performers are St. Lawrence women students.
