RENSSELAER FALLS -- Rensselaer Falls Fire & Rescue will hold an open house as part of the sixth annual RecruitNY statewide initiative.
The event is slated for Sunday, April 24, from 2 until 4 p.m. at the fire department, 424 Rensselaer St.
There will be tours of the station and firefighter apparatus, visitors can try on firefighter gear, and activities and informational opportunities will be available for visitors.
The fire department will discuss the requirements to be a volunteer, as well as conduct demonstrations, answer questions, and let visitors know how to get involved in the fire department.
