RENSSELAER FALLS -- The Rensselaer Falls Fire and Rescue open house is planned for Saturday, June 27, from 2 until 5 p.m. at the fire station, 424 Rensselaer St. Meet firemen and EMTs, check out trucks and fire equipment and sit in the ambulance.
There will be an inflatable obstacle course from Seaway Valley Rentals, a free hotdog barbecue with chips and soda, and prizes will be given out.
Fire truck rides will take place from 4 to 5 p.m. Anyone interested in becoming a fireman is encouraged to attend and speak with representatives. "I support Rensselaer Falls Fire & Rescue" t-shirts will be sold in youth sizes for $10 and $12 for adults.
Proceeds support the annual operating budget, training and equipment.
