POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board is sponsoring a “Renewable Energy Lease Workshop” Monday, Nov. 13, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Town of Potsdam Municipal Building, 18 Elm St.
Property owners who may lease their land to host large-scale solar arrays or wind turbines are invited to hear about general provisions to address in a lease, and potential land impacts to consider and the importance of seeking legal counsel.
Presenters include Scott Goldie, attorney with Conboy, McKay, Bachmann and Kendall LLP; Matilda Larson, St. Lawrence County Planning Office and Madeline Pennington, former executive director of Cornell Cooperative Extension.
