OGDENSBURG – The Kid’s Place, the Frederic Remington Art Museum’s children’s museum, will be open to the public for extended hours during the school holidays.
During the school year, the children’s museum is normally open Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. During the winter holidays, while children are out of school, Kid’s Place offers additional open hours on Friday, Dec. 22, and Tuesday through Friday, Dec. 26-29, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Kid’s Place features interactive play areas and a variety of enriching activities for children of different ages and learning abilities. A fully staffed kid’s art studio is stocked with art materials and projects. Kid’s Place is always free or charge for children ages 1-14 years and their caregivers.
Kid’s Place is located in the Eva Caten Remington Education Center, 323 Washington St., Ogdensburg, two doors down from the Remington Museum and across the street from the Ogdensburg Public Library. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The Art Club for youth in grades 6-8 will continue as scheduled on Tuesday, Dec. 26, from 3-5 p.m., as will the High School Open Studio on Wednesday, Dec. 27, from 3-5 p.m., in the classroom of the Eva Caten Remington Education Center.
