OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum, 303 Washington St., will hold a Christmas Gala Saturday, Dec. 8 from 7 p.m. to midnight.
The gala will have a winter wonderland theme and will feature a silent auction and music by Double Axel and Lester Gates. A drawing will be held for a Collier’s print of “Benighted for a Dry Camp” from 1911 by Frederic Douglas. Tickets for the drawing are $10 each or 5 for $40.
Appetizers and desserts will be provided by Simplicity Café, and a cash bar will be available.
Tickets will be $50 for members and $55 for non-members. Tickets purchased in advance will receive a $5 discount.
The museum will also hold a free open house Sunday, Dec. 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. Geared toward families, the open house will include music, cookies and cocoa, arts and crafts. O.F.A.’s Jazz Rock and the Sweet Adelines will provide entertainment.
