OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum, 303 Washington St. is taking reservations for its Harvest Moon fundraiser party on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 7 to 11 p.m.
It will include food, dancing and a silent auction, among other things. The auction features an array of goods and services offered by businesses, artists and others. Bruce Millen's photograph “Dolomite 3” is the first received to date. Millen is an artist in Kingston, Ontario, and a regular exhibitor in the museum's juried art exhibits.
Harvest Moon replaces the museum's December holiday gala. Cost is $40 for museum members and $45 for non-member. People can pay early and receive a $5 discount.
The funds raised during Harvest Moon and its silent auction will support preserving, exhibiting and interpreting the art and archives of Frederic Remington. The money will also be used to provide educational tours, hands-on art experiences and more for children and their families at Kid’s Place.
