Remington Museum to host Wine, Beer, Cheese, Chocolate & Artisan Fest Saturday with dozens of vendors

OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum will host the “Wine, Beer, Cheese, Chocolate and Artisan Festival” on Saturday, Feb. 6, featuring dozens of food vendors, vineyards, craft breweries, and artists from across the northeast.

Vendors are coming from as far away as Vermont, Rochester and Lake George to attend the event which will be held from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.

Rhonda Roethel, Sandy Porter, and Melanie Flack, organizers of the festival, say they have a great list of vendors and have put together a unique group of quality businesses and individuals from our local area.

The winery list includes local favorites River Myst Winery and Bella Brooke Vineyards, Kaneb Orchards from Massena, Thousand Islands Winery from Alex Bay, Coyote Moon Vineyard from Clayton, Otter Creek Winery from Philadelphia, Vendetti Vineyards from Theresa, Tug Hill from Lowville, and Lakeland Winery from Syracuse.

The St. Lawrence Brewing Company from Canton, and Wood Boat Brewing Company from Clayton will be serving craft brewed beers samples; and the Clayton Distillery from Clayton will be offering special craft beverages for tasting.

Food offerings will include cheese, chocolate, maple products, jams and spreads, breads, olive oils, cookies, crackers, pies, nuts, candy, and teas. These food vendors include Bittersweet Farms from Heuvelton, Not your Average Cookie from Ogdensburg, Specialtea Teas from Lisbon, Sweet Creations Sugar House from Waddington, Liqueur Desserts from Canton, The Potsdam Co-op and the Sugar Valley Bakery from Potsdam, Nut Shop International from Colton, North Country Creamery from Keesville, Sugar House Creamery from Upper Jay, Saratoga Crackers from Middle Grove, Cosimano & Ferrari Olive Oils from Rochester, and Claire’s Country Garden from Alburgh, Vermont.

The artisans for the day will be River Rat Designs, Lyn Murray Photography, Eye Candy, Purses and Key Chains, and Barbara Briggs Ward of Ogdensburg, Mare’s Wares of Morristown, Bee Art Shop and Five Mile Line Logs of Lisbon, Second Chances of Waddington, Blue Frenzy Wearable Art of Canton, Trout Brook Treasures of Massena, Tucker Springs Organics of Colton, J&R Company of Gouverneur, Dee Beads of Watertown, and Silver Bench Jewelry of Croghan.

The Museum and Art Shop will be open for visitors to tour the galleries. The museum is located at 303 Washington St.
