OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum will host a waterfowl education program Saturday, Aug. 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the St. Lawrence Valley Sportsman’s Club, Route 37.
The River Valley Gun Dog Club will offer free hotdogs and soda.
Dick Hollis will lead miniature bird carving demonstrations with children. Hollis’s family is known for their history in boat building and outdoor recreation.
Decoy painting opportunities will be offered for children as well.
A donated decoy from Taylor Decoys will be raffled. Children must be under 18 to enter.
The River Valley Gun Dog Club will offer an introduction to dog handling for kids and a dog demonstration will be featured.
Local duck call maker Jordan LeMay will host a calling contest for kids ages 18 and under.
