GOUVERNEUR -- Registration is now open for the 2014 Ryan’s Wish Foundation Golf Tournament, slated for Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. at Emerald Greens Golf Course in Gouverneur. The event is in memory of Ryan Saidel who lost his battle with cancer on February 7, 2004.
The 14-hole event will be a four-person captain and crew format. Cost is $160 per team or $40 per person, which includes a steak dinner with homemade pies for dessert.
Dinner donation for those who are not playing golf is $15.
The Ryan’s Wish Foundation, created to celebrate Saidel’s life, is dedicated to helping others who are battling a serious illness. Funds received from the foundation can help offset traveling costs and other expenses incurred by people and their families during treatment or hospitalization. The foundation has helped upwards of 70 patients and their families.
