NORFOLK -- The Norfolk Volunteer Fire Department “Mud Run” is set for Saturday, July 16, featuring at least 10 obstacles many of which will be geared towards the fire service, and of course lots of mud.
The event starts and finishes at our fireman’s field across from the Norfolk Arena, located at 4 Clinton St.
It is a 5k run/walk. Teams of any size, shape or age are welcome to run, walk, skip, hop or crawl through the course. Registration will be $30 per person.
Early registrants will be guaranteed a t-shirt of their chosen size.
Four waves starting at 9 a.m. and every hour after until noon, which will be designated as "family hour." Prizes will be awarded for the Best Team Name, Best Team Costume, Muddiest Team at the Finish Line, Largest Team, and more.
The event will be held rain or shine. There will be no refunds.
