NORWOOD -- Seaway Tech BOCES is offering separate courses in CPR and general high school diploma equivalency.
The Heartsaver CPR class will be offered May 15 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and June 9 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the adult education building.
Cost is $53 for the class and $10 for certification card, payable to the instructor.
This course teaches adult and child CPR and AED use and infant CPR, as well as how to relieve choking.
Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion Card that is valid for two years. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.
Class size is eight.

Seaway Tech is offering a Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) readiness assessment on May 19. There will be two sessions, noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. Late arrivals will not be admitted.
TASC has replaced the GED as the equivalency diploma in New York.
The readiness assessment is a half-length test to determine if one is ready to take the full TASC.
