Red Cross blood drives to be staged throughout county in August

The American Red Cross is staging several blood drives throughout St. Lawrence County in August.

Appointments can be scheduled by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-733-2767. To help reduce wait times, donors are encouraged to make appointments and complete the RapidPass online health history questionnaire at redcrossblood.org/RapidPass.

As a special thank you, those who come out to give blood or platelets with the Red Cross now through Aug. 31 will be emailed a $5 Target gift card.

The following blood drives are slated:

Aug. 15, 2-6 p.m., Lawrenceville Fire Department, 1081 County Route 54;

Aug. 16, noon-5 p.m., Knights of Columbus, 138 County Route 50, Brasher Falls;

Aug. 18, 2-6 p.m., Colton Volunteer Fire Department, Riverside Drive, Colton;

Aug. 18, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Rensselaer Falls Fire Department, 424 Rensselaer St.;

Aug. 22, 12:30-5:30 p.m., Gouverneur Veterans of Foreign Wars, 100 W. Main St.;

Aug. 23, 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Claxton Hepburn Medical Center, 214 King St., Ogdensburg;

Aug. 23, 2-7 p.m., Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, 1223 Pickering St.;

Aug. 25, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Massena Community Center, 61 Beach St.;

Aug. 25, 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Canton Potsdam Hospital, 50 Leroy St., Potsdam;

Aug. 29, 3-7 p.m., Lisbon Hepburn Library, 6899 County Route 10;

Aug. 30, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Waddington Hepburn Library, 30 Main St.;

Aug. 31, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Harrisville Central School, 14371 Pirate Lane.
