POTSDAM -- The American Red Cross will host a babysitter’s training class for ages 11 to 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8.
Students will learn how to perform basic child-care skills such as diapering and feeding, choosing age-appropriate toys, handling bedtime and disciplinary issues, identifying safety hazards, and caring for common injuries and emergencies.
The cost of the class is $85, and the student will receive a Certificate from the American Red Cross. The training will take place at 73 Market St.
