POTSDAM -- The American Red Cross will host a babysitter’s training class for ages 11 to 15 Monday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Civic Center, 2 Park St.
Participants will learn to perform basic childcare skills, choose age-appropriate toys, handle bedtime and disciplinary issues, identify safety risks and care for common injuries and emergencies.
The cost of the class is $85, which includes a babysitter’s training certificate from the American Red Cross, a handbook and a CD ROM. Participants are asked to bring a bag lunch.
