AKWESASNE – With the rain that began late Thursday evening and lasting throughout the day on Friday, Mohawk International Raceway track officials were left with no choice other than to cancel Friday night’s racing.
The raceway’s staff along with officials from the Empire Super Sprints are working to find another date for their visit to the track, and hope to have confirmation by mid-week.
Next Friday night at Mohawk International Raceway will be Keegan’s Tobacco Night as they present the first round of the Frenchie’s Ford “Go Further” Sportsman Series and the TUSA Mod Lite Series along with a full show for the Modifieds and Pro Stocks. The Bandit Division will have the night off.
Pit gates and spectator area open at 4 p.m. Heat race action will starts at 7:30 p.m. Pit admission is $27 with DIRTcar License and $32 without. Grandstand admission is $14, children 12 and under admitted for free.
Mohawk International Raceway is off of State Rt. 37 on Frogtown Road midway between the Seaway International Bridge to Cornwall and the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino.
