AKWESASNE – With rain beginning on Thursday and carrying over through this morning, track officials at Mohawk International Raceway have postponed today’s events, which consisted of the first round of the Frenchie’s ‘Chevy Runs Deep’ 358 Modified Series 50 Lap Memorial Cup event and full show of Sportsman, Pro Stocks, Mod Lites and Bandits.
The event will now be run next Friday night in conjunction with Hometown Auto night at the track. It is also autograph night at the track, giving fans a chance to meet their favorite drivers and get an up close look at the cars.
Pit Gates and Spectator area will open at 4 p.m. Heat race action will get underway at 7:30 p.m.
Pit Admission is $30 with DIRTcar License and $35 without. Grandstand Admission is only $20 with children 12 and under is just $5.
Mohawk International Raceway is located midway between the Seaway International Bridge to Cornwall, Ont. and the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino. From Route 37, turn south onto Frogtown Road.
Racing is held on Friday nights at 7:30 PM from May through September, featuring the Frenchie's Chevrolet DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro Stocks, Mod Lites as well as the Bandit division.
