COLTON -- The Racquette Valley Fish and Game Club’s ice fishing derby is set for 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 23 on Stump Bay, Higley Flow State Park.
Entry fee is $15. Pre-registration is required by Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. at Boyce's General Store, South Colton or Hannawa Country Store in Hannawa Falls. Tickets are also available the morning of the derby and at the Racquette Valley Fish and Game Club Hall from 5 to 9 a.m.
All fishing regulations apply. Fish entered must remain at the weigh-in station until end of derby. There will be raffles and door prizes for entrants.
Prizes will be awarded after 4 p.m. The prizes for the northern and walleye are, first place, $100 and a trophy; second and third, a prize and a trophy. The prizes for perch are a prize and trophy for first, second and third places.
Food and refreshments will be sold at the building.
