SOUTH COLTON -- The Racquette Valley Fish and Game Club, 233 Cold Brook Dr., will hold their annual ice fishing derby Feb. 25 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The only fishing location will be Big Bay on Cottage Road at Higley Flow.
The entry fee is $15 for. Registration is available until 8 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Boyce' Store in South Colton or the Kim’s Country Store in Hannawa Falls. Participants can also register the morning of the derby at the club from 7 to 9 a.m.
All DEC laws apply. Fish must be alive. Fish entered become club property to be released. Raffles will be held and door prizes will be given. Prizes will be awarded after 5 p.m. at the club.
The first place prize for northern and walleye are $100 and a trophy. The second and third place prize for northern and walleye are prizes and a trophy. For perch, first, second and third place win a prize and trophy.
Food and refreshments will be sold.
