CANTON -- A traditional Japanese tea ceremony and an exhibit of student-made Raku-ware tea bowls will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, in the North Country Garden in the interior courtyard of Sykes Residence Hall at St. Lawrence University.
The event is free and open to the public.
The tea bowls have been made by students in Prof. Mark MacWilliams' course “The Religious Life of Japan” and Prof. Erin McCarthy's course “Asian Philosophy.”
Guests will be asked to judge the bowls and vote for their favorite, as well as to sample a taste traditional green tea.
