POTSDAM -- This fall, SLC Arts launched demonstration workshops for professional lighting equipment housed at the Fred W. Cleveland Computer Center.
Due to the popularity of initial workshops, additional dates have been announced.
The lighting equipment for photography and film was purchased by SLC Arts thanks to the generosity of individual donors and a grant from the Grasseroots Fund.
The equipment is housed at Potsdam Public Library’s Cleveland Computer Center on the basement level of 2 Park St.
On Thursday, Oct. 5, from 3-4 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 23, from 10-11 a.m., local photographer Jim Bullard will present a brief demo of the SLC Arts Lighting Studio equipment, including assembly, set-up, and general questions. Group discussion during these sessions will help guide topics for future Lighting Studio classes, which could include how to photograph 2-D and 3-D artwork and other product photography topics.
While free and open to everyone, registration for the demonstrations will be limited to 5 individuals per class. The same information will be presented in both classes. If these sessions fill, additional demonstrations will be scheduled.
