NORWOOD -- The Norwood Adult Education Center, 7227 State Highway 56, will offer a free Pre-Apprentice Welder class beginning Tuesday, Sept. 13.
The class will meet one to three evenings a week through Feb. 8, 2017.
Community members age 21 and older without a high school diploma and those receiving SNAP benefits are eligible for enrollment. Instruction will include common welding, intro to oxy-fuel welding, intro to shielded metal arc welding, computer applications, academic skills and employment strategies.
