POTSDAM – Separate wheel-thrown pottery classes with Isaac Snell will be held in March for children and adults at classroom 229, second floor, 41 Elm St., Old Snell Hall.
Wheel-Thrown Pottery for ages 10-14 with Isaac Snell will be held Monday, Tuesday and Friday March 2, 3 and 6 from 3 to 5 p.m.
The cost for members is $82 and $97 for nonmembers.
While Isaac is tutoring individual students throwing on the wheel, other students can work on handbuilt coil pots, so each student will have the opportunity to do both. Students will have at least five finished pieces to take home.
Wheel-thrown pottery classes for ages 14 and up will be offered on the same days as the youth program from 6 to 9 p.m.
The cost is $111 for members or $133 for nonmembers.
Isaac will guide students through all the basic skills needed for wheel throwing including clay preparation, proper wedging techniques, centering clay on the wheel, throwing outer and inner walls of a vessel, and trimming and glazing.
Each student in the adult class will bring home at least 6 finished pieces.
