POTSDAM -- The Reh Center for Entrepreneurship at Clarkson University will host its fifth recognition dinner Friday, April 10 at 5:30 p.m. in the Barben Rooms at Cheel Arena.
North Country small business owners and interested community members can attend for a cost of $20, which includes dinner, dessert and drinks. RSVP before April 3 at www.clarkson.edu/rehdinner.
Melinda Little, coordinator of Point Positive, Inc., will be the keynote speaker. Point Positive is an angel investor group investing in start-up and early stage companies within the Adirondack Park.
The dinner will honor three people for their support of entrepreneurship.
Kate Fish, executive director of the Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA), will receive the Entrepreneur's Hero Award.
Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering James Carroll will receive the Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award.
Beth Carrier, owner of Red Button Bakery, 113 County Route 35, Canton, will be named the Entrepreneur of the Year.
