POTSDAM -- The North Country Bucks, a semi-professional football team based in Potsdam, host their first fundraiser, Softball in the Snow, a one pitch co-ed double elimination softball tournament, on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Moose Lodge, Rt. 56.

The team has planned a series of fundraisers over the next few months to fund their upcoming season in the Northeastern Football Alliance League.

The team consists of former high school and college football players who wish to continue playing because they love the game. The team is looking for new members as well as community members to assist in moving the league forward.

The Bucks are also seeking local businesses who would be interested in being corporate sponsors for the team.

Softball in the Snow begins at 8:30 a.m. and will end at dark. A team will be least 10 members, with at least two men and two women.

The $100 team fee can be paid the day of the tournament or mailed to 10 Willow St., #3, Potsdam NY 13676.

There will also be raffles and a full service bar inside at the Moose Lodge.
