HANNAWA FALLS – The third annual Potsdam Sandstonerman Youth Triathlon will take place Aug. 18 at Postwood Park for ages 5-18 to benefit the American Red Cross and the Potsdam Recreation Department.

Ages 5-8 (individuals only) will have a 50-yard swim, one mile bike, half-mile run; ages 9-12 (individuals only) will have a 100-yard swim, three mile bike and a 1.5-mile run; and ages 13-18 (individuals and teams) will have a 300-yard swim, six mile bike and a three mile run.

Check in for ages 5-8 is 7:30-8:45 a.m., with a 9 a.m. start time. Check in for ages 9 – 12 is 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. with a 9:30 a.m. start time. Check in for ages 13 - 18 is 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. with a 10 a.m. start time.

Registration is limited to 150. T-shirts will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Helmets are required and kickboards and life jackets will be allowed for ages 8 and under.

Cost is $20 for individuals and $40 for teams.
