POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Public Museum, 2 Park St., is inviting teachers and home educators to bring fourth grade students to the 2015 Spinning and Weaving Program. The dates for the program are May 14, 15 and 18.
Each tour will take an hour, divided into two 30-minute sections.
The first part will be on sheep, wool, and the process of making raw wool into yarn as well as a demonstration of the spinning wheel. Students will have an opportunity to spin wool. Traditional weaving on a hand loom is the second part of the program.
After the weaving demonstration, students can weave on a variety of looms. Call the museum at 265-6910 to schedule a time.
