POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Public Library, 2 Park St., will offer an iPad and tablet workshop Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon and a class about smartphones in Sept. 18.
Learn about basic settings, how to change them, and the notifications; what is the notification bar/screen and what’s the difference between notifications and status.
A session two class about using an iPad tablet will be held Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to noon. The class is for those who are familiar with iPad basics and want to learn about additional settings and what an iPad can do. Topics include applications and internal storage, as opposed to external storage card, and how a tablet can simplify life and help organization.

The library will host a level two class for smart phone users on Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The class is designed for users who have taken the basic course or have used a phone for a long time. Attend this class to learn about the settings and notifications for your phone as well as the status/notification bar and how to use it.
