POTSDAM — The Potsdam Public Library, 2 Park St., will offer an internet safety class on Oct. 8 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Learn about the hazards associated with surfing the web, how to avoid getting a virus, what malware is and how to avoid it.
Participants can bring a laptop or device or use the libraries.
Participants must be comfortable using the device and have basic internet navigation skills, familiarity with web browsers, as well as downloading and installing programs.
