Potsdam Public Library hosting budget hearing June 7

POTSDAM – The Potsdam Public Library, 2 Park St., has scheduled the following events.

There will be a public hearing on the library budget, June 7, at 7 p.m.

“The Story of ‘The Princessipal’ & The Magic of Reading!” will be held June 10, from 2-4 p.m. Lisa Lamondie-Grenville will perform a series of readings of her book “The Princessipal,” about a school principal who enchants her students with the magic of reading.

There will be a vote on the library budget and three trustees, June 14, from noon-8 p.m.

“Essential Oils 101” class will be held June 17, from 3-4 p.m. Attendees will learn the basic benefits, safety, and common uses of essential oils in this introductory workshop.

“The Takeover Begins: Teen Advisory Group Meeting” will be June 24, at 1:30 p.m. The Potsdam Public Library is interested in starting a Teen Advisory Group (TAG) created for teens by teens for teens ages 13-18. As a member, teens will decide what activities and programs they would like to see at the library, advise how the library can better serve teens, and create club from the ground up just for teens. “Library Babies” will be held June 10, 17 and 24, and July 1, from 11 a.m.-noon, for children ages 6-24 months.

Story time will be held June 7, 9, 14, 16, 21 and 23, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. for children 2 years and older.

“Purl Jam,” lunchtime knitting group, will be meet June 19, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
