POTSDAM -- The First Presbyterian Church of Potsdam is sponsoring "The Presbyterian: The Golf Tournament That Serves" at the Potsdam Town and Country Club Sept. 19.
The format is captain and crew with mixed teams. Youth are welcome and scholarships are available.
A shotgun start is at noon. Putting and chipping contests start at 11 a.m. Registration forms and more info are available by calling 265-9434 or 261-9620.
First Presbyterian Church of Potsdam has a rich history of mission work within the Potsdam community and surrounding areas. Proceeds from the tournament will go to local and regional missions.
Among the missions being supported by this tournament are Renewal House, Helping Hands of Potsdam, Hopkinton Food Pantry, Council of Religious Concerns (CORC) Thrift Shop, MINC Rural Rehab and Emergency Fund, Reachout crisis helpline, and monthly community dinners at the church.
