POTSDAM -- “Everest Vacation Bible School" opens at the Potsdam Presbyterian Center, 42 Elm St., beginning Monday, Aug. 17.
Sessions are from 9 a.m. to noon each day through Friday, Aug. 21, for children ages 3 through youth.
All children are invited to “embark upon an icy expedition and learn to overcome obstacles with God's awesome power,” church officials said.
There will be amazing experiments, glacier games, surprising adventures, snacks and music.
"Each day participants will climb the path to the highest peaks and learn that God has the power to comfort, heal, forgive, and love us forever," an email said.
The week-long event is sponsored jointly by the First Presbyterian Church of Potsdam and the United Methodist Church of Potsdam.
