POTSDAM - Suzan McDermott, local photographer and owner of Bravura Photography, will teach two digital photography classes for St. Lawrence Council Arts in October.
McDermott will teach how to get the most out of a digital camera Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Students should bring their camera manual and note when registering what type of camera they will bring to class.
Registration is $20 and participants must register by Oct. 9. Students who are already comfortable using a digital camera, or who took Oct. 12 class, may register for a field trip Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
McDermott will assist students in taking photos outdoors (or inside Snell Hall if weather is inclement) in the morning and edit the photos in the afternoon.
Registration ends Oct. 19 and costs $40. Classes meet at room 229 in Downtown Snell Hall, 41 Elm St.
Students should ask for a list of materials to bring when registering. Contact SLC Arts to register and pre-pay at 265-6860 or www.slcartscouncil.org.
