POTSDAM – Organist Ben Stone, a Potsdam native and Notre Dame honors organ and theology major, will present a recital 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 28 at the First Presbyterian Church, corner of Elm Street and Lawrence Avenue.

A 2010 Potsdam Central School graduate, he has played for local churches including his home church of St. Mary’s in Potsdam, and is an accompanist at the Crane School of Music’s annual summer camp. He is a multiple winner of scholarships from the St. Lawrence River Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and the first recipient of the Dr. Gail Walton Memorial Scholarship at Notre Dame.

The program will be performed on the renovated Casavant IV and will include works by Mendelssohn, Vierne and Bach.

The recital is free and open to the public.
