POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Public Museum Victorian Christmas display will remain up until Dec. 22. The display, open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., focuses on seasonal traditions dating back to the reign of Queen Victoria from 1837 to 1901. Traditions from the Victorian era include gift giving, the Christmas tree, Christmas dinner with family, charity, sending holiday cards, and many stories and toys for children.

The exhibit includes a Victorian parlor, children’s tea sets and toys, a nativity scene, large decorated tree with a Lionel Train that runs, Victorian puzzles and prints, historic holiday post cards, silver table service, Father Christmas, and a large collection of dolls donated to the museum over the years.
