POTSDAM -- Potsdam-native Len Mackey will teach a beginning hand-drumming class at the St. Lawrence County Arts Council Saturday, Feb. 22 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Mackey will teach traditional West African hand drumming techniques for djembe and doundoun using songs that explore polyrhythms.
Participants do not need previous musical experience. The fee is $15.
The class will meet at downtown Snell Hall, 41 Elm St., room 230.
