POTSDAM – The Potsdam Library will offer the following classes and workshops from July 18-29.

Improve English Skills Using the Internet will be held at the library’s Cleveland Computer Center July 18 and 25, from 10:30 a.m.-noon. Attendees will be able to join a group of people learning to speak English as an additional language in an informal setting. Learners can improve their listening skills by using YouTube and podcasts to hear different accents and speeds. Conversation will help us have fun while improving our fluency and confidence. Introduction to Microsoft Word will be held at the Cleveland Computer Center July 18, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. This class covers basic word processing tools such as fonts, color, size, margins, and shortcuts to bold, italic and underlined type.The class will be taught using Windows 10/MSOffice 2010. Library Babies will be held at the library July 22 and 29, from 11 a.m.-noon. The session is an opportunity for parents to spend time with their 6-24 month old children learning finger plays, tickles, rhymes, songs and simple stories. Excel Basics at the Cleveland Computer Center, 2 Park St., July 26, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to create a basic spreadsheet. Topics include spreadsheet setup, basic formula use and printing. Class will be taught using Windows 10/MSOffice 2010. Participants should be comfortable using a mouse and the keyboard.
