POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Public Library, 2 Park St., will offer free use of Ancestry.com.
Accessing the site with no cost is only possible using either library computers or your own as long as you are inside the library and connecting to the internet through the library’s connection.
The library’s computer center will offer a free class Jan. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. to teach participants how to use Ancestry.com.
Ancestry.com is the world’s largest online genealogical resource and includes billions of records from the U. S. census, military records, court, land and probate records, vital and church records, directories, petitions for naturalization, passenger lists and more.
Participants in the class should have familiarity with navigating on the internet as well as use of the computer keyboard. Bring a genealogical query you would like to resolve to class.
