POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Library’s Public Computer Center will host a “Grants 101” class Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 9 a.m. until noon in the Community Meeting Room of the Potsdam Civic Center, 2 Park St.

Geared toward non-profit organizations, the class will provide an introduction to finding and applying for grant funds; it will include a formal presentation, discussion and time for questions.

The topics covered will include whether your organization and project are eligible for funding, how to present your needs, the basics of planning a budget, how to organize your application and determining whether or not your project is grant ready.

Although the focus will be on helping established non-profits learn the basics of applying for grants, other organizations or individuals with a plan to implement a community service project of any kind are apt find the class helpful if they hope to obtain grant funds for their project.

Anyone with an interest in grant funding is welcome to enroll.

There is no fee for the class, but pre-registration is required and class size is limited. To register, contact the Public Computer Center at e-mail pcc@potsdamlibrary.org or 265-7230.
